A physical home is essential for building a spiritual home for others. A building will provide a secure future for Storrs Community Church and convey stability to the community we serve. Our own building becomes an opportunity for flexible ministry and hospitality. Building a home for others is not about our sacred space, but space that benefits the whole community.
- Mothers and infants will benefit from mornings out and play groups
- College and graduate students will be exposed to the Gospel and a diverse community where they can connect with families and mentors.
- Single young adults will be able to connect with others in growing supportive relationships.
- Young parents will find resources and support for growing spiritually strong marriages, families, and children.
- Adults and children will have opportunities to grow spiritually, through age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Seniors will connect with a vibrant community and have broad opportunities for service.
- Infants and toddlers will be cared for by loving, nurturing adults.
God has gifted and called Storrs Community Church to offer support and encouragement to others, helping them wake up to the God who loves them and take the next step toward maturity in Christ. This is the call to help others begin their journey home. We have an extraordinary opportunity to make a bold statement of faith. As we open our hearts to the Lord and prayerfully consider our faithful and generous response, we will experience a collective excitement and joy that will be unparalleled in our history as a congregation. May God bless this endeavor and help us continue to “grow in grace” as we “build to serve!”
