Division has become a way of life. Nearly every time you turn on the news, someone has stepped forward to draw a line separating the holy from the unholy, those who possess the truth from those who are misguided or worse, evil. Speaking about our current political climate on Larry King Live, President Jimmy Carter stated the he believed that our country is more divided today than it was during the time of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War.

Dear Friends,
What a night! U2charist was a great evening on many levels. More than just an evening of great music and fun, U2charist is a good example of what it means to live our vision to be a welcoming community, a catalyst for faith in action and a spiritual home.

During the spring of 2005 a small group gathered at the church office to discuss the question, "Why a building?" It wasn't because we needed a place to meet; God had always provided that. It wasn't because it would be easier than setting up every Sunday; maintaining a building will be a lot more work. After some discussion, there was a strong consensus that we were not building for ourselves, but to better serve those God was asking us to love on his behalf. There was clarity; we were building a home for others.

One of our priorities as a church is the development of a shared spiritual life. We long to be transformed by Christ individually and formed in Christ together. During Lent members and friends are invited to join in ten minutes of daily prayer and reflection.
