Storrs Community Church

Beliefs
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it constitutes the final authority in all matters pertaining to the Christian faith and practice.

We believe that there is only one God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The whole essence of God belongs equally to each of the three persons. They are co-equal and co-eternal.

We believe in the deity of Christ, his virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles, his atonement by death on the cross, his bodily resurrection, and his personal return in power at the end of time.

Our relationship with God has eternal and everyday implications.

We believe every person is created in the image of God to enjoy fellowship with him but that sin separates us from God. Each person needs a restored relationship with God through the forgiveness offered and secured by Jesus Christ. Our relationship with God has eternal and everyday implications.

We believe that God gathers us together as a church to celebrate his goodness, lives with us and gifts us through the Holy Spirit to extend his work on earth and give visible expression to his love and mercy.

At Storrs Community Church we offer a spiritual home where others can explore faith issues, ask questions, voice doubts and be who they are, without pressure to conform or embarrassment because they don’t believe quite like everyone else.
