he founding families dreamed of a church that was responsive to contemporary needs, committed to Christianity as revealed in the Scriptures, and focused on the essentials that unite all followers of Jesus, while encouraging diversity, intellectual inquiry and discourse.  Their dream is very much alive today, as we continue our pursuit of authentic discipleship.
